What is a Capitalization Fixer?
A capitalization fixer does two things a plain "auto capitalize" tool can't: it fixes lowercase that should be uppercase (sentence starts, standalone "i") andfixes uppercase that should be lowercase (accidentally capitalized words in the middle of a sentence).
Because capitalization rules in English depend on context — is this word a proper noun? Is it the start of a sentence? Is it an acronym? — our tool shows you a preview so you can review every suggested change before applying it. Nothing happens to your text until you click "Apply".
What gets corrected
Sentence starts — first letter after . ! ? and at the beginning of the text is uppercased.
Standalone "i" — English's only single-letter pronoun, always capitalized.
i-contractions — i'm, i've, i'll, i'd all get the I capitalized.
People's names — common first names (English, Indonesian and many international ones), titles such as mr, mrs and dr, surnames that follow a known first name, and the pattern "my name is …" are capitalized: john smith → John Smith. Add any name the tool doesn't know in the "Extra names" box.
Mid-sentence capitals — words like "Inside" or "Into" that were accidentally capitalized in the middle of a sentence get lowercased — unless they match a proper noun (see below).
Proper nouns that are protected
The mid-sentence lowercase rule will not touch words in our protected list, including:
Days: Monday, Tuesday, ..., Sunday
Months: January, February, ..., December
Planets: Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, ...
Countries & cities: Indonesia, Jakarta, America, London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, ...
Languages & nationalities: English, Indonesian, Chinese, French, ...
All-uppercase words: USA, NASA, HTML, OK — acronyms are always safe.
Names that aren't on the list (e.g. "Sarah", "Amazon") will be lowercased in the middle of a sentence. That's why we show a preview — you can spot any false positive and click Clear or edit the text before applying.
How to use

What it doesn't fix
Spelling mistakes (e.g. "recieve" → "receive")
Grammar (subject-verb agreement, tense, articles)
Punctuation choices (comma placement, semicolons)
Names that aren't in the built-in list or your "Extra names" box. No tool can know every name, so list the ones you use often. Cities, brands and other proper nouns outside the protected list are also left as typed.
